Nevada Workers' Comp Leads for Attorneys

Nevada workers' comp leads are inquiries from people hurt on the job in Nevada who want to talk to a workers' comp attorney. Augment Leads screens each lead against your firm's filters, set around Nevada's notice and claim filing rules, and sends it to one firm only, with unqualified leads replaced.

Nevada workers' comp claims follow their own agency, forms and clocks. This page covers each, sourced, plus intake questions for Nevada callers. To compare states, see workers' comp deadlines by state.

The Nevada workers' comp system

Nevada claims go to the employer's insurer, not first to a state agency. Under NRS 616C.065, the insurer must accept or deny a claim within 30 days after being notified of the accident, and a worker can request a hearing before a hearing officer to review the insurer's decision.

Deadlines a Nevada worker has to meet

Written notice within 7 days

NRS 616C.015 requires written notice of the injury to the employer as soon as practicable, and within 7 days after the accident, on a form prescribed by the Administrator.

Claim within 90 days

Under NRS 616C.020, an employee who sought medical treatment or missed work must file a claim for compensation with the insurer within 90 days after the accident; a dependent has one year after a death. NRS 616C.025 lets the insurer excuse a late notice or claim for reasons such as the injury itself, mistake or ignorance of fact or law, incapacity, or fraud.

Not legal advice. Check current rules with the Nevada Division of Industrial Relations before relying on them.
