Missouri notice and filing rules
Written notice to the employer
Under RSMo 287.420, written notice of the time, place and nature of the injury, plus the injured person's name and address, must reach the employer no later than 30 days after the accident, unless the employer wasn't prejudiced by not getting it. For an occupational disease or repetitive trauma, the 30 days run from the diagnosis.
Filing the claim
Under RSMo 287.430, a claim must be filed with the division within two years after the injury, death or last payment made on account of the injury. If the employer didn't file the report of injury required by section 287.380, the limit is three years.
