Oregon Workers' Comp Leads for Attorneys

Oregon workers' comp leads are inquiries from people hurt on the job in Oregon who want to talk to a workers' comp attorney. Augment Leads screens each lead against your firm's filters, set around Oregon's notice and claim filing rules, and sends it to one firm only, with unqualified leads replaced.

Oregon workers' comp claims follow their own agency, forms and clocks. This page covers each, sourced, plus intake questions for Oregon callers. To compare states, see workers' comp deadlines by state.

The Oregon workers' comp system

Oregon's system is administered by the Workers' Compensation Division of the Department of Consumer and Business Services. When a claim is denied, a worker can request a hearing in writing, mailed to the Workers' Compensation Board, under ORS 656.283; the board refers it to an administrative law judge.

Deadlines a Oregon worker has to meet

Notice to the employer

ORS 656.265 requires notice of the accident to the employer immediately, and no later than 90 days after it. The notice must be in writing and say when, where and how the injury happened. Late notice bars the claim unless it's given within one year and one of the section's exceptions applies, such as the employer already knowing about the injury.

Health plan rejections

If the worker first sent the bills to a health plan that rejected them as work-related, ORS 656.265(1)(b) allows a workers' comp claim within 90 days of that rejection.

Appealing a denial

Under ORS 656.319, a hearing on a denied claim must be requested within 60 days after the denial was mailed, or within 180 days if the worker shows good cause for the delay.
